The year 2017 was one of those years that can be marked as the inception of an era which gave a completely new perspective of what a smartphone could be in the near future. Then, for the first time there came the intimidating mobile phone design from Samsung in the smartphone series Galaxy S8/S8+ followed by major mobile phone brands like Apple, Google, Xiaomi, etc. While most of us speculated that Samsung will be the first to implant fingerprint sensor into the display to its Galaxy S8/S8+ which was not possible at that time then our concentration changed to Apple's iPhone X which again rumoured to accommodate similar tech, Vivo is the first mobile phone manufacturer in the world which made it possible to place fingerprint sensor below the screen of the smartphone. Face Unlock now available in OnePlus 3/3T

One such interesting feature which is very trendy in today's modern day smartphones is 'face unlock' thing. With Apple besting in improved AI processing, Apple also has developed their own facial recognition system named Face ID which is very famous in the iPhone X and the best part about it is that the system is really advanced and it can also be used to authorise payments from the phone. Face unlock is also available in android devices like Galaxy S8, Galaxy Note 8. While, android do have their own feature to add a trusted face, it is not as secure, fast and advanced as the Apple's Face ID is.

OnePlus is using there own facial recognition algorithms and have developed their own face unlock feature which was made available to the OnePlus 5/5T through OTA is now also available for the OnePlus 3/3T smartphones. Of course many online blogs and YouTubers have made side by side comparison of OnePlus 5/5T face unlock with the iPhone X's  Face ID and have found that OnePlus 5/5T have the faster unlock than the iPhone's unlock. Yea but wait, which one is more secure? Of course Apple have the plus side over this one.

OnePlus added this into their 3/3T phones by their latest update in the form of beta updates 30 and 21 for 3 and 3T respectively. In the very same update, they have also included some more features like OnePlus Switch, which can be used to perform data transfer like contacts, messages, videos, photos, apps, audios, call logs to other OnePlus device which you may had newly purchased. OnePlus launcher is also said to be upgraded to version 2.3 and Airtel Volte support is added to the phones for the Indian users.
